BRITANNIA BUSINESS CLUB CONTINUES TO GROW

June 21, 2017

The Britannia Business Club is a members only group that brings together like-minded business people over a number of thought leadership events. Guests at each event will hear a talk on a range of subjects from the world of sport and business and guests then have the chance to network. The Britannia Business Club is Presented by Coutts.

It’s creation was inspired by the America’s Cup, Great Britain’s challenge to win the America’s Cup and the hosting of two Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series events in Portsmouth, UK. The Club’s main objective is to create a business development and   client entertainment platform for Club members. Each event provides the opportunity to network, motivate, influence and provoke debate. The Thought Leadership series will feature speakers who are well-respected figures from the world of sport and business delivering their insights on sporting business topics.

The most recent event was hosted on The Strand at Coutts Head Office on 6th June. As guests entered they were in no doubt they were in the right place as the entire front of the building was wrapped in images of the British team. The event coincided with Land Rover BAR’s victory against Emirates Team New Zealand, who performed a pre-start pitch pole, allowing the Brits to take the victory.

The evening began with a Q &A with British Olympic and Paralympic sailors Saskia Mills and Hannah Stodle discussing their views on the America’s Cup.  A full house listened intently to the ladies' own sailing experiences and insights into the action in Bermuda.   After the sailing action had been played live on a big screen, guests were able to take part in interactive games includes ‘Stable Flight’ and a grinding challenge.  The evening even featured a delicious chocolate version the ‘Auld Mug’.

Further events are planned throughout the rest of 2017, for more information please get in touch.
